Allwood Stud Farm, owned by Bob and Marilyn Fowler, bred 16 individual winners across three States during March. The stud’s lifetime tally of winners has climbed to 1,647 including 454 at Perth metropolitan tracks.
The highlight of the month was a winning double at Gloucester Park on March 8 with Galaxy Warrior (by Follow The Stars), who carved out a new career mark of 1:55.8, and the Rock N Roll World two-year-old Highview Heidi (1:58.2).
Allwood Stud also bred doubles at Narrogin on March 1 with See The World (by Follow The Stars) and Pacific Eagle (by Fly Like An Eagle), Bunbury on March 15 with Double The Ante 1:56 (by Rock N Roll World) and Allwood Mach and Northam on March 23 with a pair of Rock N Roll World three-year-olds in Arionrock and World Secret.
Other stud winners fort March were Travelban (Northam twice), Do It My Way and Ubeen Thundastruck (Pinjarra), Twelve Oclock Rock (Bunbury), Our Eagle Bay (Wagin), Follow The Music (Bridgetown), Kissed By A Rose (Parkes) and Beejay’s Star (Mildura).
Resident sire Fly Like An Eagle produced seven winners for month including Flying Rumour, who topped the $100,000 earnings mark with his 1:54.2 Gloucester Park success, Koolbardi Navajo (Pinjarra, 1:55.2), The Wildcard (Wagin) and Mayleejae Eagle (Burnie).
Follow The Stars enjoyed another productive month with seven winners including Rodger James and Galaxy Warrior (Gloucester Park), Cassini Star (Narrogin) and the ‘new’ three-year-old winner Pre Nup 1:58.8 (Shepparton).
Rock N Roll World, last season’s leading first crop sire, has carried on the good work siring 12 individual three-year-old winners this season including ‘new’ winners in Do It My Way (Pinjarra), Double The Ante and Twelve Oclock Rock (Bunbury) and La Pierre (Stawell).
