Fly Like An Eagle, the leading Western Australian-based sire in 2023, left winners in three different States in April.
Among his WA winners were the Allwood Stud bred two-year-old Into The Future (1:57.6), a winner at Pinjarra and Northam, Its Justa Shotaway (Pinjarra) and Travelban (Narrogin). In NSW ‘Eagle’ was represented by Girl Just Fly (Young and Dubbo) and Eagle Commander 1:56.5 (Young), while in SA, Branson carried his flag winning in 1:59.3 at Port Pirie.
Fly Like An Eagle has sired the winners of $4.3million so far.
Follow The Stars enjoyed another productive month with six individual winners including the Gloucester Park winner Per Ardua Ad Astra (1:56), Ya Bettor Followme (Northam and Central Wheatbelt), Half Kidding (Narrogin), Ellucifer and Local Resident (both Central Wheatbelt) and the Mildura victor Allwood Wizard.
Meanwhile, Rock N Roll World, last season’s leading first crop sire, left the 1:54.2 Gloucester Park three-year-old winner Arionrock and Worlds Above 1:58.4 (Northam). He has sired 13 individual three-year-old winners to date this year.
Allwood Stud bred nine individual winners who amassed 11 wins between them during April.
The list is headed up by the Gloucester Park winners Per Ardua Ad Astra, Rockability and Arionrock, and others in Ya Bettor Followme, Into The Future, Worlds Above, Travelban, Allwood Wizard and Ellucifer.
To date Allwood Stud has bred the winners of 1,656 races including 457 at Perth metropolitan tracks.
