A haul of 10 individual winners – including three ‘new’ two-year-old winners – during August has lifted the overall stake earnings of Fly Like An Eagle’s progeny to almost $2 million.

The Allwood Stud-based stallion increased his tally of juvenile winners this season to 12 with Jackie Daniels (Diamond Classic heat), Velocipede (1:56.5) and Flying To Win all registering their maiden successes.

Fly Like An Eagle’s outstanding three-year-old daughter Wonderful To Fly extended her winning sequence to nine when she annexed the Group 3 $30,000 WASBA Country Oaks at Bunbury. She has now won 20 of her 30 starts and $351,183 in stakes.

Fly Like An Eagle was also represented by the three-year-olds Hilo Louisa (twice), Shirley, Me Flash and Dimeslfamischief and the older performers Girl Just Fly (twice) and Mista Eagle.

Follow The Stars, whose progeny recently topped the $3 million mark, sired 11 individual winners for the month.

The Art Major horse left two ‘new’ two-year-old winners in Flashing Ark and Road Star as well as the three-year-olds in Rellim (Gloucester Park), Cullen Star (Gloucester Park), Lillyrose (Gloucester Park) and See The World.

Other Follow The Stars’ winners in August have been the Gloucester Park victors Allwood Wizard and Elish Star, Our Holla Star (twice), Venus Or Mars and Troopingofthecolor.

Allwood Stud, the most successful WA breeders in history, bred no fewer than 11 individual winners during August.

They included the Gloucester Park winners Joe With The Flow (1:56.7), Allwood Wizard, Jackie Daniels, Lillyrose, Elish Star, Rellim and Cullen Star, Flashing Ark, See The World, Road Star and Troopingofthecolor.
