Follow The Stars is leading WA first crop sire

The Allwood Stud based FOLLOW THE STARS was the leading WA first season sire for 2018/19. The former champion juvenile left eight individual winners from 27 starters for progeny earnings of $223,090.

FOLLOW THE STARS sired two ‘new’ two-year-old winners in August in the Allwood Stud bred Team Mascot (Bunbury) and Startup (Gloucester Park), while the filly Star In Art¸ another Allwood bred and owned youngster, won for the second time at Pinjarra.

Companion sire FLY LIKE AN EAGLE was represented by a pair of smart two-year-old winners from his initial crop in NSW recently. The Irish Eagle won twice at Leeton from as many starts and Dancinginthedark¸ who finished runner-up in the NSW Breeders Challenge True Final, broke maiden ranks at her first start at Wagga.

The Allwood Stud bred and owned Allwoods Rocknroll and three-year-old filly Looks Official both saluted in August. The former won at Pinjarra in a career-best 1:57.6 and Northam (1:58.4) and the latter scored at Pinjarra in a new lifetime mark of 1:56.1.

TINTED CLOUD had a red-letter month in August with winners in three States. Jaxon Fella led the vanguard with a 1:56.7 success at Gloucester Park, The Maldives won in 1:55.7 at Menangle, Biena Hoa NZ won three races on end at Globe Derby Park in 1:57.9, 1:58.2 and 1:58.8, Tinted Lass scored twice at Newcastle (1:56.1 and 1:56.7) and Buriton Bailey NZ brought up his 26th success at Globe Derby.
