In what could only be described as trying conditions today at Pinjarra, Magical Mysty displayed the maturity, speed and toughness needed to bring up her first win over the 2185 metre trip and become the 6th individual winner for Follow The Stars this season.
This impressive win by the very short priced favourite, Magical Mysty ( Follow The Stars –Kin Of Queens –Kinney Hanover ) is trained by Greg & Skye Bond for the breeder and owner David Bushell.
David will also have a very nice double west-bred bonus coming his way.
This win has Follow The Stars ( The star son of Art Major ) 2nd on the first season sires list for individual winners. This is an astonishing achievement considering he had only a crop of 59 foals that season.
Follow The Stars ( 6 winners) leads the way from sires like, Sweet Lou (3), He’s Watching (4), Sunshine Beach (4) and Hurrikane Kingcole.
What’s really interesting is all of those North American owned sires are trailing Follow The Stars, and would have stood for service fees substantially higher than the Australian born, bred and owned, young gun.
David Bushell must be immensely pleased he has a full sister to come through the ranks next year.
Good judges are of the view, Follow The Stars has many more good winners to come.
